History

Barford Industries was first registered in 1998 by Michael Foord.

Between 1980 and 1998, Mike worked for various organisations such as Zimmite Australia, Premium Water Treatment and Nalco Australia where he gained a variety of experience from water treatment servicing to acid cleaning boilers, chemical blending and more. In 1998, Mike left Nalco and started Barford Industries, servicing a number of customers on his own in and around Adelaide and to the west coast of Australia.

Since then, we have steadily grown and now service most of South Australia and even Victoria. In November 2020, we were able to acquire another water treatment company and now employ six full-time staff and two part-time employees with the hope we can continue to grow.

As a result, we moved to bigger premises by purchasing a larger warehouse in Lonsdale which we now call our main base of operations.
